As many countries in the world, the current account's sustainable balance in Turkey is very important. It has influence on many macroeconomic variables like economic growth, export ..etc. Also the current account balance is affected by may macroeconomic variables. For this reason, this study analyzed whether the balance can sustainable or not. For this purpose, Fourier ADF unit root tests were applied and other traditional unit root tests were also applied because trigonometric locutions were meaningless. Thus, the effects of the structural changes in the variable were also tested. According to the unit root test results, current account balance was stable. This can be shown as evidence that the current account balance is sustainable. Dünya'da birçok ülkede olduğu gibi Türkiye içinde Cari işlemler dengesinin sürdürülebilir olması oldukça önemlidir. Cari işlemler dengesinin ekonomik büyüme, ihracat vb. birçok makroekonomik değişken üzerinde etkisi vardır. Ayrıca cari işlemler dengesi birçok makroekonomik değişkenden de etkilenmektedir. Bu sebepten dolayı bu çalışmada Türkiye için 1972-2017 yılları arası Cari işlemler dengesinin sürdürebilir olup olmadığı analiz edilmiştir. Bu amaçla değişkene ilk olarak Fourier ADF birim kök testi uygulanmış ve trigonometrik terimlerin anlamsız olmasından dolayı da diğer geleneksel birim kök testleri uygulanmıştır. Böylece değişkende var olan yapısal değişimlerin etkileri de test edilmiştir. Birim kök test sonuçlarına göre cari işlemler dengesinin durağan olduğu görülmüştür. Bu durum cari açığın sürdürülebilir olduğuna bir kanıt olarak gösterilebilir.
